Effective date: 20 July 2026
This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available for purchases made on criti.org for online teaching courses and related digital content. By purchasing or enrolling in a course, you agree to this policy.
1. General Policy
Because online teaching courses are digital products, refunds are limited. Refunds may be granted only in the circumstances described in this policy or where required by applicable law.
2. Eligibility for Refunds
You may be eligible for a refund if:
- you were charged incorrectly due to a technical or billing error
- you purchased the course more than once by mistake
- the course was not made available to you after successful payment
- there was a verified technical issue on our side that prevented access to the course
- a refund is required under consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction
Refund requests based only on a change of mind, lack of use, or personal preference are generally not eligible unless stated otherwise in a specific offer.
3. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will generally not be granted if:
- you have accessed, streamed, or downloaded a significant portion of the course content
- you have completed part or all of the course
- you failed to use the course within the available access period
- you are dissatisfied with the course content due to subjective preferences
- you did not meet the technical requirements and the issue is not caused by our platform
- your account was suspended or terminated due to a violation of the Terms and Conditions
- the purchase was made using a promotion, discount, or special offer stated as non-refundable
4. Subscription or Installment Purchases
If the course is sold as a subscription or in installments:
- cancellation stops future billing where applicable
- already processed payments are generally non-refundable unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise
- access may continue until the end of the current billing cycle, depending on the plan.
5. Free Trials and Promotional Access
If a free trial, demo, or promotional access period is offered:
- refunds are not available for free access periods
- if you do not cancel before the trial ends, payment may be charged according to the offer terms
- promotional access may be withdrawn or changed at any time unless otherwise required by law
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, you must contact our support team with:
- your full name
- email address used for purchase
- order number or transaction ID
- course name
- date of purchase
- reason for the refund request
- any supporting evidence, if applicable
Refund requests should be submitted as soon as possible after the issue arises. Delayed requests may not be accepted.
7. Review Process
After receiving your request, we may:
- verify your payment and account details
- review course access logs and usage
- ask for additional information
- inspect any technical issue reported
We reserve the right to approve or reject refund requests based on this review and the terms of this policy.
8. Refund Timeline
If a refund is approved:
- it will usually be processed to the original payment method
- processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider
- it may take several business days for the amount to appear in your account
Any non-refundable payment processing fees may not be returned, unless required by law.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it.
You agree not to file an unnecessary chargeback or payment dispute without first giving us a reasonable opportunity to review the issue. If a chargeback is initiated, we may suspend access to the course while the matter is investigated.
10. Course Cancellations by Us
If criti.org cancels a course or becomes unable to provide access due to reasons within our control, we may at our discretion:
- provide a full refund
- provide a partial refund
- offer alternative access or substitute content
The applicable remedy will depend on the circumstances and any legal requirements.
11. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or inability to process refunds caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including payment gateway outages, bank delays, natural disasters, internet failures, or government actions.
12. Policy Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on criti.org with a revised effective date. The version in effect at the time of purchase will generally apply to that purchase, unless a change is required by law.
